The September 28–29 releases include a familiar Zeus slot with different multiplier rules, a pirate game with moving Wilds, and two takes on a three-pot bonus. We opened the official demos and checked the rules to see what each one actually does.
Following our previous New Casino Games roundup, here are four releases worth explaining together. The screenshots come from free-play demos using virtual balances. Each section focuses on how wins form and what changes when its bonus starts.
| Game | Studio | Main mechanic |

| 3 Lucky Monkeys Hold & Win | BGaming | Hold & Win with Expand, Collect and Boost powers |
| Dead Man’s Crew | Slotmill | Avalanche clusters with moving multiplier Wilds |
| Three Pots of the Genie | Play’n GO | Hold & Win with three coloured pot features |
Gates of Olympus 2500 — Pragmatic Play

The September 28 release keeps the familiar Gates layout: a 6×5 grid, wins for eight or more matching symbols anywhere on screen, and tumbles that replace winning symbols. The interesting change comes after the free spins trigger. A wheel selects between four bonus modes, and those modes do more than change the colour of the background. Compare this bonus variation with Gates of Olympus POP, which adapts the familiar format to a compact grid.
How the free-spin modes differ
- Free Spins 1: multiplier symbols on winning spins add to a running total, which applies when a new multiplier lands with a win.
- Free Spins 2: also collects multipliers that arrive without a win, then uses the accumulated total on subsequent wins. That changes what a seemingly empty spin can contribute to the bonus.
- Super versions: both modes have a version in which the smallest multiplier is 10×.
Four or more scatters start the feature with 15 free spins; three scatters during the bonus add five more. Individual multiplier symbols can reach 2,500×, while the overall win limit is 25,000× the bet. Those are different limits: the number in the title describes a multiplier symbol, not the maximum payout.
So the main reason to look at this version is how its bonus counts multipliers. The higher ceiling is easy to advertise, but collecting an orb even when its spin pays nothing is the more meaningful rule change.
3 Lucky Monkeys Hold & Win — BGaming

BGaming’s September 28 release begins as a five-reel, three-row slot with 20 paylines. Above it sit three monkeys labelled Expand, Collect and Boost. Their jobs become clear in Hold & Win, where coins stay on the board and new coins reset the remaining spins to three. For another release using Hold & Win, see Betsoft’s Good Girl Bad Girl 2.
Three powers, three different jobs
- Expand adds two rows, taking the board to 5×5 and creating more empty spaces for prizes.
- Collect gathers the coin values already showing.
- Boost adds its own value to the coins, with Jackpot Coins excluded.
These powers can activate as the bonus starts or during the round, so the same board can develop in different ways depending on which powers are involved.
That is the difference from a basic coin-locking bonus: extra room, larger values and collection can work together. Six or more coins trigger Hold & Win, with a smaller chance from two or more. Filling the original board awards Grand; filling the expanded board awards Royal.
The demo also offers Random Bonus and Ultra Bonus purchases using virtual funds. Random can activate one, two or all three powers; Ultra starts with all three. The growing pots are visual entertainment, not evidence that a bonus is due: the rules explicitly say those visual changes do not influence outcomes.
Dead Man’s Crew — Slotmill

Dead Man’s Crew, released on September 29, puts its main idea inside a cascade. Five or more matching symbols form a winning cluster on the 6×6 Avalanche grid. Winning symbols clear away and replacements fall in, but the Wild Scatters can make the next result more valuable.
What happens to a winning Wild
- A Wild contributes to a win, and its multiplier increases by one.
- It moves to a random neighbouring position before replacement symbols fall.
- If several Wilds help the same cluster, their multipliers are added together.
You are watching whether the next group connects with those increasingly valuable Wilds.
How the crew and free spins change the board
Feature Hotspots add a second layer. A winning symbol on a Hotspot can call on the crew to change the board, including transforming or removing symbols and creating more Wild Scatters or Hotspots. Mystery Trails turn a path of positions into Mystery Symbols before revealing them.
Three or more Wild Scatters trigger eight free spins, where their multipliers carry from spin to spin. Boosters, doublers and extra spins can develop the feature further. The important distinction is that the accumulated Wild strength can outlast a single cascade. Slotmill lists a 10,000× win cap and two RTP configurations, 96.07% and 94.09%.
Three Pots of the Genie — Play’n GO

Play’n GO’s September 29 release also puts three pots above the reels, but gives them different jobs from BGaming’s monkeys. Blue doubles selected coins, red keeps increasing a chosen coin, and purple builds toward instant bonus prizes. The feature is about changing the value of a locked board, rather than expanding it.
Coloured Gem Scatters feed the matching pots. When one or more land, Lock’n Gold can activate randomly with one to three gem features. The bonus starts with four respins. Coins stick where they land, and a new Coin or Gem Scatter resets the counter. Further Gem Scatters can bring additional pot features into the same round.
What each coloured pot does
- Blue — Double: scatters select one to three coins and double their values.
- Red — Ignite: scatters select one coin whose value increases through the feature.
- Purple — Bonus: scatters are collected in bonus panels to award the Mini, Minor, Major or Grand prize.
So the colours describe different processes, not simply three labels for the same respin round.
The pots grow as gems are collected, but the game’s own paytable says that growth is purely visual and does not signal that a bonus is closer. That is useful context when watching the pots between spins. This is a familiar collecting format; its main variation is letting those three value-changing features share a bonus.
What changes from game to game
These games use familiar slot ingredients in different ways. Gates changes when multipliers count; Dead Man’s Crew moves and strengthens its Wilds; the two pot games change what happens to locked coins. That is the useful comparison here: what the next symbol can change, and whether its effect lasts for a tumble, a spin or the whole bonus.
