Relax Gaming launches Money Train 5 on September 24, 2026, bringing back a series that was supposedly finished after Money Train 4: The Last Stand.
This time, the biggest change is not simply a higher maximum win. Money Train 5 adds new mechanics to the base game and changes how the bonus develops as the train moves through different stations.
Nuclear Wilds add more action to the base game
Earlier Money Train games were heavily focused on reaching the bonus round. In Money Train 5, Relax Gaming has added Nuclear Wilds to make the base game capable of producing bigger moments on its own.
When the feature hits, bombs can turn up to five reels fully wild.
Relax Gaming says the idea was to make the journey between bonus rounds feel less empty without taking attention away from the bonus itself, which remains the main part of the game.
The bonus now moves through stations
The bigger change appears inside the bonus round.
Players can collect tickets that move the train forward. Reaching new stations unlocks additional upgrades and mechanics, so the bonus can change as it progresses instead of simply increasing the values already on the reels.
Relax Gaming has also introduced several new special characters:
- Ticket Master — a new variation on the Collector and Payer concept;
- Pyromancer — leaves behind a persistent hot zone on the reels;
- Bomber — another character designed to affect the bonus as it develops.
Tickets, stations and progressive upgrades are designed to give the bonus more room to change direction as the round continues.
Standard Mode vs Ultra Mode
Money Train 5 comes with two main mathematical profiles:
- Standard Mode: maximum win of 50,000× the bet;
- Ultra Mode: maximum win of 100,000× the bet.
The core game, characters, progression and features remain the same in both versions. The difference is mainly mathematical, with Ultra Mode offering a more extreme profile and a higher ceiling.
Relax chose not to chase another max-win record
The Money Train series has steadily increased its maximum win over the years: 20,000× in the original game, 50,000× in Money Train 2, 100,000× in Money Train 3 and 150,000× in Money Train 4.
An obvious next step would have been another increase. Instead, Relax Gaming focused Money Train 5 on how the bonus evolves.
That makes the fifth game more than a visual refresh of the previous release. Nuclear Wilds, moving reels, tickets and unlockable stations change how a round can develop, while Standard and Ultra modes give players two different mathematical profiles.
